European Ideas Lab - Greens meet Changemakers

Are you a changemaker in your country? And/or are you member of a Green party? Come discuss your ideas! The first European Ideas Lab aims at reinforcing the dialogue between actors of change who strive for a more just, more sustainable and more democratic society and the Greens across Europe. Through this dialogue, while respecting the distinct roles of civil society organisations and activist and of elected politicians respectively, we want to foster mutual trust and increase our collective ability to win topics of common interest. Many popular movements have been gathering momentum in Europe, often in response to government corruption, massive constructions projects imposed without consultation, or damaging social and economic policies. From Indignados in Spain to anti fracking protests in Spain and Romania, from the anti-austerity demonstrations in Greece to the Black Monday demonstrations in Poland, citizens around the globe, and in particular in Europe, are on the march. Generally played out between people and authorities, these struggles have varied origins, contexts and results; they also come in various shapes and sizes, from demonstrations to sit-ins, creative flash-mobs, festive rallies or long term occupations on the contested area.
